Job Title: Assistant Finance Director

At Ad-vance Talent Solutions, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Finance Director to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Assistant Finance Director will play a critical role in the Finance Department, assisting in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures. This position will also be responsible for supervising the activities of the Accountant and Administrative Assistants, as well as preparing complex financial statements and reports.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in developing and communicating financial plans and objectives in alignment with the company's vision and mission.
  • Supervise the activities of the Accountant and Administrative Assistants, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Prepare complex financial statements and reports, including audit work papers and financial forecasts.
  • Monitor revenue collections and ensure compliance with bond covenants and restrictions.
  • Assist in tracking capital improvements and financial management of capital projects.
  • Supervise the accounting for and preparation of reports in conjunction with grant assistance programs.
  • Prepare or supervise the preparation of written accounting procedures and policies.
  • Assist in developing responses to internal and external audit findings.
  • Perform analysis of current and proposed financial transactions.
  • Assist personnel in other departments in solving problems of a technical accounting nature.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting from an accredited four-year college or university.
  • Six years of progressively more responsible experience in accounting and fiscal operations.
  • Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in governmental operations.
  • Valid Florida driver's license.
Working Environment:

This position requires sedentary work with occasional walking or standing, routine keyboard operations, and normal visual acuity.
