Research Clinician Scientist Opportunity in Pediatric Medical Genetics

The Department of Pediatrics at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and the Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago seek a full-time non-tenure or tenure-track Clinician Scientist at the rank of Assistant Professor. This position will contribute to the development of a research program in the Division of Genetics, Metabolism and Birth Defects.

Responsibilities
  • Develop a research program in basic or translational research in human genetics-related research themes.
  • Foster collaborative interactions with clinical and laboratory scientists.
  • Contribute to the education mission of the division and department.
  • Allocate clinical effort based on research program demands.
Requirements
  • MD (or equivalent) or MD/PhD (or equivalent) degree.
  • Board certification in Medical Genetics.

Qualified candidates should have a strong research growth trajectory and be able to demonstrate a commitment to collaborative interactions and education.
