Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team at Independence Village of Oxford. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing food according to menus, recipes, and planned events for residents and their guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook food for residents, guests, and employees.
  • Follow standard recipes and menu guidelines to ensure high-quality dishes.
  • Plate food items according to portion guidelines and garnishing instructions.
  • Assist other kitchen staff as needed and perform other duties assigned by supervisor.
  • Ensure sufficient food is prepped and/or prepared for each meal service.
  • Communicate with supervisor regarding shortages or outages.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to safety and sanitation standards.
  • Stock and clean station for next shift.
  • Follow proper food rotation policies to ensure freshness and quality.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and promote a positive dining experience for residents and guests.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of three years of line cook experience and/or training.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
