Overview

The Medical Surgical unit at Mercy Rogers is a 48-bed unit that provides care to acute medical surgical patients with a wide range of diagnoses and care needs. This unit houses and cares for patients who are preparing for or recovering from medical and surgical interventions, including care of patients with illnesses such as pneumonia and sepsis, as well as pre and post-op management of pain, wound care, and monitoring for any complications post procedure.

Responsibilities
  • Manage chronic conditions such as diabetes, COPD, and chronic kidney disease
  • Provide care to patients with oncology, nephrology, urology, gastroenterology, and other service lines
  • Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to provide exceptional patient care
Qualifications
  • At least one year of previous clinical nursing experience preferred
  • Graduate of an accredited LPN program required
  • Current Arkansas LPN license
  • Current Basic Life Support Certification through an American Heart Association approved program
