Job Overview

Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled Cloud Solutions Engineer to provide expert AWS cloud engineering and DevOps support. This role involves defining, developing, and enhancing application architecture to meet client requirements effectively.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering advanced technical support in AWS cloud engineering and DevOps.
  • Utilizing extensive industry knowledge to develop innovative solutions for complex challenges.
  • Mentoring team members and working independently to achieve project goals.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Proficient in AWS services such as Elastic Container Service, EC2, and Relational Database Service.
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like CloudFormation and Terraform.
  • Experience in designing and developing Client Server and Web Enabled applications.
  • Knowledge of Open Policy Agents (OPA) and Policy as Code tools.
  • Background in software development and user interface design.
  • Experience with JFrog Artifactory and Software Bill of Materials (SBOM).
  • Understanding of Zero Trust implementation using tools like Hashicorp Boundary and Vault.
  • Expertise in CI/CD processes using GitLab and Jenkins.
  • Ability to perform automated security compliance operations on Linux and Windows systems.
  • Strong capability to articulate architectural visions for projects.
  • Proven ability to establish and uphold standards and practices.
  • Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of relevant experience or a Master's degree with 3+ years of experience.
  • Possession of TS/SCI Clearance (preferably DHS or DoD adjudication).

DevOps Expertise:

  • Engaging in development activities including continuous integration, delivery, testing, and monitoring for cloud-hosted APIs.
  • Collaborating with software engineering teams to implement best practices in continuous integration and automate operations.
  • Creating automation scripts for infrastructure deployment to ensure seamless upgrades and support uptime SLA requirements.
  • Maintaining and updating scripts based on evolving requirements and assisting in the setup of test environments.
  • Working closely with developers to conduct validation testing prior to production deployment.
  • Documenting implementation progress that aligns with defined service-level agreements (SLAs) and business metrics.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with AWS services such as DynamoDB, API Gateway, Lambda, and others.
  • Familiarity with programming languages and tools like Git, GitHub/GitLab, Jenkins, JavaScript, and Python.
  • Experience working with federal government agencies.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies.
  • AWS Cloud Architect Certification – Cloud Practitioner or Associate-Level.

Security Clearance:

  • Selected candidates will undergo a Security Investigation and may need to meet requirements for access to protected and/or classified information.

Location:

  • This position is remote; candidates must be located within the United States.

  • Applicants must be U.S. Citizens and have resided in the United States for a minimum of 3 years due to background investigation requirements.
