SSTAR is a leading healthcare organization dedicated to providing comprehensive treatment services for individuals struggling with substance use disorders. Our mission is to deliver high-quality care that addresses the physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being of our clients.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Recovery Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety and structure of our program milieu, participating in treatment services, and observing and supervising clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Safety and Well-being
    • Monitor client activities to ensure a safe and structured environment
    • Conduct 30-minute client well-being checks to assess client needs
  • Treatment Services
    • Participate in treatment services related to caring for clients
    • Facilitate and document daily groups
  • Client Supervision
    • Observe and supervise clients on the unit and off
    • Search client belongings on admission and at discharge, or as otherwise directed by supervisor
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Complete all necessary checklists, shift documentation, and record keeping in a timely manner
    • Attend supervision, trainings, and meetings as required

Requirements

  • Education
    • High school diploma or higher educational level or general education degree (GED)
  • Experience
    • Experience working with substance use population is preferred
  • Skills
    • Ability to display initiative, responsibility, accountability, and professionalism
    • Demonstrates commitment working with an addicted population, enjoys working as part of a treatment team

  • $19.00 per hour plus shift and weekend differentials
  • Fall-Time and Part-time shifts with rotating weekends
