About the Role

Municipal Credit Union is seeking a highly skilled Senior Auditor to join our team. As a Senior Auditor, you will be responsible for providing oversight of the maintenance of our Internal Audit schedule and Regulator Examination Request List.

Key Responsibilities
  • Independently perform branch audits, including cash counts, and other intermediate level internal audits.
  • Manage and maintain audit plan for outsourced internal audits and annual financial audit/member verification.
  • Communicate with business units on management responses to audit findings; refine audit responses to ensure alignment with Internal Audit best practices and standards.
  • Manage Audit and Exam Findings Tracker.
  • Independently create and maintain Smart sheets to support individual audits and regulatory exam activity on a regular basis.
  • Support Director of Audit in maintaining Internal Audit Charter and Audit Plan.
  • Perform other related duties as requested and special projects as assigned.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business-related discipline; internal audit certification a plus.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of consumer compliance experience preferably at a credit union or bank subject to NYDFS supervision.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently perform medium complexity audits, specifically Retail Branch Audits.
  • Knowledge of Internal Audit standards.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to effectively interact with all levels throughout the credit union.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Possess a strong sense of urgency. Effectively sets priorities, allocates resources, takes accountability and achieves results.
  • Highly ethical.
  • Ability to perform in a high-volume environment and meet deadlines while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.

Salary: $85,000-$95,000 Annually
