Sonographer - Diagnostic Imaging Specialist

About the Role

Oklahoma Heart Hospital is seeking a skilled Sonographer to join our team. As a Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing high-quality echocardiograms, stress echoes, and vascular studies. You will work closely with physicians to ensure accurate diagnoses and provide exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform echocardiograms, vascular studies, and stress echoes as directed by physicians
  • Assist in pulling patients back, preparing patients for ultrasounds and vascular studies
  • Schedule PMs on ultrasound equipment when needed
  • Assist in calling service on equipment as needed
  • Complete all paperwork, including daily exam reports and logs
  • Prepare rooms and equipment in advance and ensure assigned areas are kept clean, orderly, and stocked
  • Ability to carry and transport portable ultrasound equipment as needed
  • Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and physiology to pinpoint areas of imaging
  • Review patient charts and records for completeness prior to clinic visits

Requirements
  • Graduate of an approved school of Ultrasound
  • Current ARDMS or CCI certification or registry eligible and pass registry within one year of date of hire
  • BLS certification
  • Documented competency in echo and non-invasive vascular imaging
  • One year of experience preferred
