Job Summary:
A Hematologic Specialist is needed for a major healthcare system. The successful candidate will consult with patients with hematological disorders, prescribe medications, and develop a comprehensive sickle cell program. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:
• Diagnose and treat blood disorders involving anomalies of the blood cells, bone marrow, and other organs
• Conduct wide-ranging research toward the prevention and treatment of blood disorders
• Educate and impart expertise to medical residents, students, other physicians, and medical professionals
• Provide consultation in both inpatient and outpatient settings
• Develop a robust sickle cell program and assist in patient transitions from pediatrics to adult medicine

Qualifications:
• Medical Degree with specialization in Hematology/Oncology
• Completion of all three parts of the US Medical Licensing exam
• Completion of Fellowship training in Hematology/Oncology
• Competency in Hematology/Oncology procedures
• Active medical license in the state of New York
• Excellent teaching skills

Benefits:
• Annual Base Salary: $300,000 based on a 40-hour work week
• Additional compensation available for extra call or sessional/per diem hours
• Estimated annual compensation for 10 additional sessional/per diem hours worked per week is $55,520
• Projected bonus of up to $40,000 (based on previous year's average), contingent upon meeting quality and productivity targets
• 401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits)
• Annual Continuing Medical Education (CME) Reimbursement
• Generous Annual Paid Time Off (PTO): Vacation, Sick, Holiday, and CME days
