Inpatient Neurology Specialist

Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Inpatient Neurology Specialist to join our team. This role is pivotal in enhancing our comprehensive Neurology Program and addressing the growing needs of our community.
Qualifications:
Board Certified or Board Eligible Neurologist (MD or DO) is required. New graduates are encouraged to apply.
Role Responsibilities:
1. Focus primarily on inpatient neurology admissions and consultations.
2. Facilitate smooth transitions of care to outpatient settings.
3. Demonstrate strong diagnostic and treatment capabilities, particularly in stroke management.
4. Exhibit excellent interpersonal skills to foster effective communication with patients and their families.
5. Collaborate with case management to coordinate discharge planning.
Quality Improvement:
Actively participate in initiatives aimed at enhancing cost-effectiveness, quality of care, and patient safety. Ensure timely and accurate documentation of patient interactions.
Team Collaboration:
Support the expansion of neurology services across multiple facilities and engage in stroke-related research. Establish standardized protocols for neurological care throughout the continuum. Work closely with Hospitalists and Critical Care Intensivists as necessary, fostering a collaborative team environment.

Work Schedule:
Enjoy a block scheduling format (7 on/7 off) that promotes a coordinated approach among specialists, ensuring seamless and comprehensive neurological care.
