The Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC) is seeking a dynamic and skilled professional with a background in managing environmental remediation and assessment projects. This role involves overseeing complex investigations and clean-up initiatives while demonstrating a strong capability in data analysis and reporting. The selected individual will lead various environmental projects, evaluate technical documentation, supervise contractor activities, and execute site-specific assignments independently.

As an Environmental Remediation Engineer, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and reviewing comprehensive technical reports and documentation, such as Phase I assessments, Preliminary Endangerment Assessments, site characterization plans, sampling strategies, risk evaluations, feasibility studies, and compliance reports.
  • Organizing and managing a diverse portfolio of projects with competing deadlines to ensure timely and budget-conscious completion.
  • Establishing and maintaining precise project timelines to optimize resource allocation.
  • Creating cost estimates for oversight activities related to each project and ensuring timely invoicing and payment from responsible parties.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Expertise in project management
