Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Dental Hygienist to provide exceptional dental care at Dunn Dental. As a Registered Dental Hygienist, you will be responsible for delivering top-notch patient experiences and working closely with our dentists to ensure the highest level of patient satisfaction.

Estimated Salary: $60,000 - $90,000 per year

Key Responsibilities:
  • Welcome patients into the treatment area and make them feel comfortable, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience.
  • Discuss the dental care plan with patients and answer any questions they have, providing clear guidance and support throughout their treatment.
  • Prep sterilized equipment and make it available to the dentist for exams and procedures, maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and infection control.
  • Take vital signs and accurately record medical histories, using this information to inform your care and develop personalized treatment plans.
  • Perform preliminary exams and collect oral health histories, identifying potential issues and developing strategies to prevent further problems.
  • Evaluate patients for signs of gum disease, cavities, and infection, recommending appropriate treatments and interventions as needed.
  • Remove plaque and apply fluoride treatments, promoting healthy teeth and gums and educating patients on effective oral hygiene practices.
  • Teach good oral hygiene techniques, empowering patients to take an active role in their oral health and wellness.
  • Create dental impressions and take x-rays, using these diagnostic tools to inform your care and develop effective treatment plans.
  • Assist the dentist during procedures and exams, working collaboratively to deliver high-quality patient care.
Qualifications:
  • Associates Degree from a school certified by the Commission on Dental Accreditation.
  • Current Dental Hygienist licensure.
  • Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and all dentistry safety guidelines.
  • Able to stand for extended periods and bend repeatedly, meeting the physical demands of this role.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with a focus on building strong relationships with patients and colleagues alike.
