Job OverviewPosition Summary

The Strategic Financial Analyst focusing on Business Growth Strategy is instrumental in delivering comprehensive financial insights and strategic guidance to foster business expansion and enhance operational efficiency. This role involves close collaboration with the Senior VP, EIBU, and the Corporate FP&A Department, as well as various cross-functional teams to analyze financial metrics, support budgeting and forecasting activities, and contribute to informed strategic choices.

Core Responsibilities:

Strategic Financial Planning:

  • Engage with the FP&A team to formulate strategic financial plans that align with the organization’s growth aspirations.
  • Assist in developing financial models, conducting scenario analyses, and creating long-term financial forecasts to aid strategic decision-making.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

  • Contribute to the budgeting and forecasting efforts by scrutinizing financial data, identifying trends, and offering insights to ensure realistic and attainable financial objectives.
  • Track actual performance against budgets and forecasts, pinpointing discrepancies and suggesting appropriate corrective measures.

Financial Analysis and Insights:

  • Perform in-depth financial analyses to assess business performance, identify trends, and uncover potential growth opportunities.
  • Generate insightful reports and presentations that convey financial outcomes, forecasts, and strategic recommendations to management.

Investment Evaluation:

  • Support the assessment of investment opportunities and new business ventures through financial analysis, ROI evaluation, and risk assessment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate the financial implications of various strategic initiatives and recommend investment strategies.

KPI Monitoring and Reporting:

  • Establish, monitor, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) pertinent to business growth, delivering actionable insights and recommendations for enhancement.
  • Work alongside stakeholders to set and track KPI targets that align with organizational objectives.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify avenues to optimize financial processes and enhance efficiency within the FP&A function.
  • Propose and implement process enhancements and automation solutions to improve accuracy and productivity.

Cross-Departmental Collaboration:

  • Partner with various departments, including Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Finance, to ensure the alignment of financial objectives with business goals.
  • Act as a financial business partner, offering financial guidance and support to functional teams.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of seven (7) years of experience in Financial Planning and Analysis, ideally with a focus on business growth strategy.
  • Strong expertise in financial modeling, data analysis, and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, ERP systems).
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to translate complex financial data into actionable insights.
  • Solid understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting methodologies.
  • Effective communication skills, capable of presenting financial information clearly and concisely to diverse stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized, adept at managing multiple tasks and priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team setting.
  • Experience in a rapidly growing or dynamic business context is advantageous.
