Organist (NE) - Liturgical Musician

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Organist to join our team at St. Stephen Church, Bradshaw. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our parish community in worship through music, ensuring that our liturgical celebrations are filled with joy, beauty, and spiritual depth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the congregation in worship through playing the organ for Masses and other liturgical celebrations.
• Build and maintain a repertoire of music that reflects the diversity and richness of our parish community.
• Collaborate with the Liturgical Music Staff to ensure musical coverage for all weekend Masses and other liturgical celebrations.
• Support the annual planning for liturgical seasons, sacramental celebrations, and other special liturgies.
• Maintain equipment and resources, and serve as a resource to help others understand the role of music in worship.

Requirements:

• Knowledgeable of and comfortable with Church music literature in all forms and styles.
• Proficient in Catholic liturgical principles and the musical, liturgical, and pastoral judgements which must be made in selecting liturgical music.
• Proficient in organ playing.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with clergy, staff, parish leaders, and volunteers.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.

Working Conditions: This is a part-time, non-benefit eligible position, working 19 hours per week.
