Salary

The estimated salary range for this role is $65,000 - $95,000 per year.
Job Description
We're seeking a skilled Middle School Math Teacher to join our team. As a member of our grade-level team, you'll work together to help students grow into self-guided learners. You'll teach foundational math principles, such as ratio/proportions, expressions/equations, and the number system. Our curriculum is CCSS-based, and we encourage culturally responsive problem-solving activities.
You'll foster confidence and engagement with mathematics in your students through your love and expertise of the subject. Your responsibilities will include:
- Data Analysis
- School Culture
- Partnering with families to support students' learning needs
- Participating in weekly school-wide meetings to cultivate community and model core values
- Collaborating with your grade-level team to develop academic goals and instructional strategies
Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- A commitment to Uncommon Schools' mission and vision for being an anti-racist organization
- Demonstrated commitment to supporting students' social-emotional and academic development
- Interest in impacting K-12 students in urban schools and communities (1-2 years of experience preferred)
- Academic expertise in Mathematics, Science, Technology, Engineering, or related fields
- A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, with a minimum GPA of 5.0 during employment if not in education
