Job Summary

">

The Mechanical Engineer II will be responsible for applying mechanical systems design knowledge, skill, and ability to create construction drawings for the project owner and providing continuous professional support throughout the entire construction process. This position will serve as the primary liaison responsible for coordination and communication activities between the design team and the client/customer and provide project management oversight and professional support throughout the entire construction process.

Responsibilities

  • ">
  • Manage project timelines and communicate with the design team and client/customer effectively.">
  • Assist in preparing proposals and engineering agreements.">
  • Create mechanical systems design elements consistent with project specifications.">
  • Produce design elements in accordance with project hours, scope, and parameters.">
  • Research design options and select equipment for project type.">
  • Creates construction HVAC documents for permitting.">
  • Produces load calculations and engineering project specifications within project parameters.">
  • Execute QA/QC process and provide project coordination.">
  • Consult on projects to manage schedules, deadlines, site surveys, punch lists, building codes, and standards.">
  • Participate in post-design consultation activities and represent the company in client meetings.">
  • On-board and oversee junior engineers.">
  • Mentor junior engineers and designers.">
  • Billing of projects to the accounting department.">
  • Folllow established work rules, policies, and procedures.">
  • Engage with other members of the company to improve processes and create efficiencies.">
  • Takes on other duties, roles, or responsibilities as assigned.">

Benefits and Compensation

The estimated annual salary for this position is $90,000 - $110,000 depending on experience. RTM offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision plans, employee assistance program, disability coverage, life insurance, 401(k) and profit sharing, flexible work schedule, paid time off, and training and development courses.

Requirements

  • ">
  • A 4-year degree in engineering required.">
  • Minimum 3 years' experience.">
  • Knowledge of various HVAC/plumbing/fire protection systems, equipment, and concepts.">
  • Knowledge of engineering drafting standards.">
  • Knowledge and utilization of company & design standards.">
  • Expert knowledge of building codes and standards.">
  • Demonstrable understanding of construction process and interpretation of construction drawings.">
  • Knowledge of AutoCad.">
  • Knowledge of Revit.">
  • Good communication skills.">
