Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our US Engineering group, dedicated to the design of highly integrated electromechanical systems. As a key member of our team, you will partner with global clients across industries to develop solutions to vexing business challenges.

You will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and validating electrical hardware, including integration with complex mechanical components, for low volumes through mass production. You will also write robust embedded firmware and connect it with user-facing software in Python, C#, or similar packages to enhance early version hardware.

Additionally, you will manage, mentor, and direct cross-disciplinary teams to conduct research, brainstorm, prototype, test, analyze, document, and present work to clients. You will also share insights on promising directions for new client opportunities, provide technical support for new business development, and devise and execute strategies to meet project and client goals.

Requirements
  • BS (MS a plus) in electrical engineering or a related field and 12+ years' experience developing complex, technical, or integrated products.
  • Experience solving tough problems within more than one of the following areas: analog and digital electrical design, RF design, firmware architecture, embedded systems design, firmware or software development, controls, instrumentation and measurement, and power supply engineering.
  • Proficiency with firmware development tools (CCS, MPLAB or similar), software development tools (C#, Python, or similar) and/or electrical hardware design tools (Altium, PADS, EAGLE, or similar).
  • Experience making connections with technical stakeholders to ensure project and product successes.

The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At PA Consulting, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $138k - $180k.
