Job Summary:

In this role, you will assess, diagnose, and treat students with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders, helping them achieve their communication goals in an educational setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for students with speech and language disorders.
  • Provide direct therapy services to students, both individually and in group settings, to promote effective communication skills.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support student communication needs and ensure a cohesive approach to student care.
  • Document and monitor student progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to the development of student goals, working closely with the interdisciplinary team to ensure student success.

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Valid Speech-Language Pathology license in the state of Illinois.
  • Experience working with children, preferably in a school setting, with a strong background in pediatric speech therapy.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
