About the Role:

This position is responsible for assessing and treating patients with communication and swallowing disorders. You will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess patients' communication and swallowing abilities and develop treatment plans to address any deficits or disorders.
  • Provide individual and group therapy sessions to patients, using a variety of techniques and strategies to promote communication and swallowing skills.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, occupational therapists, and physical therapists, to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
  • Document patient progress and outcomes, and communicate with patients and their families to ensure they are informed and engaged in the treatment process.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to speech therapy services.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Speech Pathology or a related field.
  • Current licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of Illinois.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • 1 year of clinical experience in speech therapy, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting.
