About the Role

As a Senior Electrical Engineer at Abbott, you will lead projects to identify, plan, and execute small to large-size projects across multiple manufacturing sites globally. You will lead electrical engineering operations projects within a global engineering team to ensure projects are completed on-time, within budget, and as per the set goals.

You will participate in design review and design for manufacturability of new devices, handle complex projects for scaling new suppliers and expanding and/or modifying the production lines. You will own and build relationships with component suppliers to ensure robust manufacturing processes and quality controls are in-place at suppliers.

You will provide critical SME support on resolving complex issues within manufacturing, coordinate and provide updates to senior management teams on critical business projects, and may coach junior colleagues and allocate project work to the most advisable contractors.

Requirements
  • 4+ years of relevant experience
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Ability to work independently and in groups; ability to work cross-functionally
  • Demonstrated initiative and problem-solving skills; critical-thinking skills
  • Ability to quickly gain knowledge, understanding or skills and is willing to learn
  • Familiarity with cGMP, FDA and ISO regulated environment
