Key Responsibilities

Site Security Duties:

  • Ensure a secure environment for the Living Room Program by safeguarding the welfare of both staff and visitors.
  • Employ keen observational skills to patrol the Living Room area and surrounding premises.
  • Monitor entry points to identify and address potential security risks.
  • Verify that doors are secured and that guests utilize the doorbell for entry.
  • Maintain effective communication with agency personnel and guests to cultivate a positive and secure atmosphere.

Emergency Response Duties:

  • React swiftly in emergencies, such as medical incidents or disruptive behavior, providing necessary assistance.
  • Collaborate with agency staff to ensure a cohesive and supportive approach to challenging situations.
  • Enforce established safety protocols and procedures.

Quality Assurance and Compliance Expectations:

  • Adhere to the policies of The Josselyn Center.
  • Demonstrate punctuality in all responsibilities.

Required Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 21 years old and possess a minimum of a High School diploma.
  • A minimum of 1 year of verified experience in security roles, preferably within a healthcare environment.
  • Exceptional observational and situational awareness capabilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain composure in high-pressure or crisis situations.
  • Basic First Aid and/or CPR certification is advantageous.
