Job Description

As a Ready-Mixed Concrete Plant Operator at Strata Corporation, you will be responsible for ensuring a safe working environment and overseeing daily production, plant maintenance and repairs, and delivery of products. Your role will involve supervising the production workforce, assisting in hiring, training, and motivating employees to achieve divisional goals and objectives. You will also be responsible for creating and enforcing a positive culture of safety and stewardship, ensuring compliance with all appropriate governmental regulations, and coordinating production activities to achieve corporate profitability and sales objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure strict compliance with safety, health, environmental, employment, management, and other company policies, procedures, and principles established by government agencies and Strata Corporation.
  • Supervise production workforce as directed by operation management.
  • Coordinate equipment utilization that promotes maximum efficiencies.
  • Maximize profitability by supporting corporate sales goals and marketing initiatives.
  • Support compliance with corporate QC/QA policies.
  • Assist in employee and customer problem resolution.
  • Assist with plant inventory management.
  • Assist in scheduling all maintenance and repair activities.
  • Maintain confidentiality with privileged information.
  • Present favorable company image to customers and employees.

Specific Tasks

  • Coordinate and schedule with customers to insure timely concrete delivery and maximize equipment utilization.
  • Responsible for plant and dispatch operations.
  • Hire, train, and discipline employees in accordance with company policies.
  • Coordinate labor with project schedules.
  • Assist in employee performance reviews.
  • Remove non-performers.
  • Ensure all time cards, blue cards, and delivery documents, are completed as per company policies.
  • Maintain plant site and equipment with high expectations of appearance and cleanliness in accordance with company policy.
  • Assist in and conduct QC procedures.

Requirements

  • Must possess current valid driver license.
  • Pass pre-employment drug testing and background check.
