SOCOTEC, a leading provider of niche consulting services, is seeking a skilled Principal Engineer to join our Technical Consultancy and Advisory (TCA) group.

As a key member of our team, you will perform, direct, specify, and lead stress analyses to solve complex issues related to design, life assessment, and root cause failure analyses.

  • Contribute to advanced testing, including the assessment of the physical structure and behavior of metals and materials.
  • Perform heat transfer, fluid dynamics, fracture mechanics, and structural stress analyses of pressure vessels, piping systems, rotating equipment, bridges, and other structures using classical and finite element analysis methods.
  • Work with industry codes and standards for the design and analysis of structures and systems.
  • Manage projects, organize new business opportunities, and effectively communicate with clients, engineering colleagues, and technical staff.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, metallurgical, or structural engineering; a master's degree or PhD is preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in stress analysis and failure prevention.
  • Professional Engineer license is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
