Electrical Engineer Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team at GTSSW. As an Electrical Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and implementing electrical systems for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with clients, architects, and other engineers to develop electrical system designs
  • Produce detailed design drawings, specifications, and reports for electrical systems
  • Coordinate with utility companies and obtain necessary electrical permit approvals
  • Organize technical and financial proposals for new projects
  • Manage workload of project discipline engineers and technicians
  • Develop concept and preliminary engineering solutions for detail design
  • Prepare technical specifications and monitor financial performance of jobs
  • Mentor junior electrical engineers and ensure practices and policies align with client interests
  • Plan and manage personal workload to meet deadlines and balance resource utilization
Requirements:
  • 8+ years of experience in electrical engineering design in the building services and construction industry
  • Experience working on projects in sectors such as higher education, museums, commercial, transportation hubs, and stadiums
  • Relevant bachelor or master's degree in electrical engineering or a related field
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) certification desirable
  • LEED AP accreditation preferred
  • Experience using Revit and computational analysis tools such as electrical fault analysis and lighting design software
  • Excellent technical knowledge of electrical systems and ability to investigate, identify, and provide solutions to technical problems
  • Excellent client-facing and communication skills, with experience presenting solutions to stakeholders
