Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Parts Specialist-Temp Position to join our team at iSoftTek Solutions Inc.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and assist customers with parts inquiries via various communication channels, provide estimates, determine availability, and answer general parts questions using electronic and paper parts catalogs.
  • Input orders into internal and external systems once all information is verified and complete.
  • Demonstrate a detailed understanding of technical information, including researching parts via online tools across multiple product lines.
  • Be proficient in internal systems and major business lines.
  • Critically think and possess strong attention to detail.
  • Exceed company and customer expectations at every opportunity.
  • Makes informed parts recommendations to customers based on parts knowledge and gathered information.
  • Multi-task and prioritize demands of the job in a fast-paced environment to ensure an efficiently operating customer service department.
  • Collect accurate and detailed customer order information, including payment method in support of order processing.
  • Process internal product price and availability requests from the service department.
  • Conduct research for past-due POs, tendering transactions, and make suggestions/appropriate corrections.
  • Maintain and update the Active Log application throughout the day.
  • Monitor backorders daily, ensuring prompt receipt and distribution of orders.
  • Assist with warehouse functions as needed, such as pulling urgent stock items and participating in warehouse cycle counts.
  • Attend assigned training and proactively seek to increase skillset to maintain proficiency in job responsibilities.

Requirements:

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Ability to read and interpret documents, including safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers in-person and via phone.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Calculate figures and amounts, such as discounts, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook, and online vendor tools/order process system.

Experience/Education Requirements:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • 2+ years of parts experience (preferred).
  • Marine and industrial diesel engine experience (preferred).

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Salary: $28.00 - $33.00 per hour, based on skills and experience.
  • Benefits Include: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short & Long Term Disability, 401K, and Paid Time Off.
  • Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
  • Overtime: yes.
  • Length of Position: a minimum of 6 months.
