About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Systems Engineer to join our team at KACE. Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement technical and strategic guidance to senior-level engineers and application developers on infrastructure architecture and design.
  • Evaluate proposed engineering designs against the strategic architecture and provide recommendations.
  • Provide technical and strategic guidance on the maintenance and upgrade of existing infrastructure components to support evolving technologies.
  • Work with stakeholders to identify requirements issues, analyze complex requirements, and negotiate requirements changes.
  • Assist program managers with project estimation, scheduling, and costing, and identify system inconsistencies and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience with 3-5 years of experience in IT infrastructure management.
  • Demonstrated experience building and maintaining physical and virtual Windows servers.
  • Demonstrated experience creating permissions with a profile-based access control system for shared folders for individuals or groups.
  • Demonstrated experience deploying large IT systems using Windows and Linux operating systems, both on-premises and in the cloud.
  • Demonstrated experience evaluating proposed technologies, including performing prototypes and producing reports and recommendations.
  • Demonstrated experience managing solution generation efforts for big-data management systems.
  • Demonstrated experience selecting, deploying, and maintaining AWS cloud services.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience using Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) and patching cycles.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience working with McAfee EPO.
Clearance Requirements

  • Successfully passing a background investigation, including drug screening.
Working Conditions

The selected candidate must be able to attend meetings with other managers and employees, stand for prolonged periods, and sit for extended periods. The candidate must also be able to write, type, and use a telephone system 100% of the time.
