POSITION SUMMARY

The Product Styling Specialist plays a vital role within Splashlight's Creative Engine. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with teams of Photographers, Art Directors, and Production Coordinators to ensure the production of high-quality images that are aligned with brand standards and reflect the elevated expectations of a Studio team member. Your primary responsibilities will contribute to Splashlight's overarching corporate objectives: Implementing Business Operating Systems, Strengthening Market Position, and Growing Revenue.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Style e-commerce, editorial, and still life content with a sharp focus on color, texture, lighting, composition, and form, creating sophisticated imagery while maintaining high productivity in a dynamic environment.
  • Collaborate with clients, internal art directors, photographers, and producers on projects and styling direction across various brands.
  • Work alongside Art Directors and photographers to develop visually compelling assets that adhere to brand guidelines.
  • Support photographers and art directors in evolving a brand's styling direction.
  • Guide freelance stylists and assistants to ensure compliance with brand guidelines and uphold styling standards and productivity.
  • Partner with freelance stylists and assistant stylists to guarantee accurate representation of merchandise and meet on-set productivity goals.
  • Maintain and update Style Guides as necessary.
  • Collaborate with the Creative team to identify efficiencies and propose workflow enhancements.
  • Oversee styling supplies, props, orders, and inventory management.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 7+ years of experience in still life styling for e-commerce, editorial, and video.
  • Proficient in styling a diverse range of products, including jewelry, textiles, apparel, and accessories; fragrance and cosmetics.
  • A robust portfolio showcasing examples of editorial, product display, and promotional styling.
  • In-depth knowledge of trends in fashion, art, photography, design, and culture.
  • A meticulous eye for detail and visual composition with a refined sense of taste.
  • Ability to execute visual solutions on set that align with brand aesthetics.
  • Familiarity with commercial studio workflows.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate creative concepts and collaborate effectively within a team environment.
  • Excellent time management skills, capable of handling multiple projects and tasks simultaneously under tight deadlines.
  • Problem-solving skills to identify challenges and develop actionable solutions.
  • Experience in client-facing roles.
  • Ability to work independently while demonstrating sound judgment.
  • Basic knowledge of Capture One is a plus.
