Key Responsibilities

As a Store Operations Leader, you will:

  • Maintain operational excellence by balancing structure, delegation, and a customer-first approach.
  • Monitor inventory loss and manage payroll effectively to ensure a profitable operation.
  • Create an inviting shopping atmosphere that encourages repeat visits from our customers.
  • Share your knowledge of books, music, and pop culture with both staff and customers.
  • Engage with retail leadership and corporate partners to discuss market trends and customer insights.
  • Analyze sales data to inform strategies aimed at achieving sales objectives.
  • Present merchandise in an appealing manner, guiding your team to procure popular items and foster community engagement.
  • Continuously develop a pool of talented and passionate staff members.

Qualifications

What You Will Need:

  • A minimum of one year of experience in retail management, with a proven track record of leading teams to success.
  • Strong skills in communication, recruitment, operations management (including payroll, reporting, and merchandising), and team development.
  • A genuine passion for books, music, comics, games, and pop culture.
  • A high school diploma or GED; a degree is a plus.
  • The ability to adapt to the fast-paced nature of retail and handle unexpected challenges.
  • A curious and open-minded approach to pop culture and current trends.
