Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Head Cashier to join our team at Sprouts Farmers Market. As a key member of our front-end operations team, you will be responsible for leading a team of cashiers and providing exceptional customer service to our valued customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead by Example: Demonstrate excellent customer service skills and provide guidance and support to cashiers and courtesy clerks.
  • Operational Oversight: Assist with operational issues, including scheduling, inventory management, and cash handling.
  • Team Development: Hire, train, and develop new cashiers, and take disciplinary actions as needed.
  • Security and Loss Prevention: Maintain visibility of exit doors and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Employee Engagement: Foster a positive and inclusive work environment, promoting teamwork and collaboration among team members.
Requirements
  • Leadership Experience: 1-2 years of recent cashiering experience supplemented with leadership training.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with customers, team members, and management.
  • Technical Skills: Ability to operate front-end equipment, including registers, calculators, and scanners.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift and carry product weighing up to 30 lbs., and use both hands to move grocery carts horizontally.
