Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated School Social Worker to join our team at Uncommon Schools Rochester Prep. The successful candidate will provide direct services to the school community, including crisis intervention, behavior management, and counseling services. They will also work closely with teachers, administrators, and other support staff to develop and implement curriculum for social and emotional development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct services to students, including individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, and behavior management.
  • Develop and implement curriculum for social and emotional development, including training for teachers and staff.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other support staff to develop and implement school-wide interventions.
  • Refer, monitor, and evaluate individuals and families to external resources and services.
  • Administer records, documentation, and other compliance activities.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Social Work (Required)
  • Valid School Social Worker Certification from NJDOE (Required)
  • Proven track-record of high achievement
  • Evidence of self-motivation and willingness to be a team player
  • Experience working with and in urban schools is highly preferred
