Job Overview:
- Operates radiological machinery to generate radiographs, providing essential information for procedures.
- Utilizes fluoroscopy to assist physicians during medical interventions.
- Adheres to established radiation safety protocols.
- Accurately documents fluoroscopy durations in designated records promptly.
- Collaborates with the healthcare team, alerting relevant personnel to any changes during procedures.
- Ensures a safe and sanitary working environment by following all protocols and regulations.
- Prepares patients for imaging procedures by positioning them correctly, adjusting equipment, and setting exposure parameters.
- Employs aseptic techniques when preparing procedure trays, handling medications, and prepping patients.
- Manages inventory of radiological and procedural supplies by monitoring stock levels, anticipating needs, placing orders, and confirming receipt.
- Assists in surgical procedures as needed.
- Conducts sterilization of surgical instruments.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- This role does not include supervisory duties.
Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited ARRT program.
- ARRT certification.
- BLS certification for healthcare providers from the American Heart Association.
- Vocational/Technical or Associate's degree.

- In-depth knowledge of radiation safety standards.

Work Environment:
This position operates within a medical surgery center setting.
Physical Requirements:
The physical demands described here are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of this role:
Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands for handling objects, reach with arms, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, hear, and smell. The ability to lift or move up to 30 pounds is necessary. Specific vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Compensation & Work Schedule:
- Full-time: 40 hours per week.
- Day shift, Monday to Friday; start times vary.
- No evening or weekend shifts.
- A comprehensive benefits package is available, including medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, 401(k) plan, PTO, paid holidays, and HSA plan.
*A sign-on bonus is available for this position; half is paid on the first paycheck and the remaining half after six months.
