As a Hospice RN at Emblem Hospice Tucson, you will have the opportunity to make a profound impact on the lives of individuals and families in need. Our interdisciplinary team works collaboratively to deliver high-quality patient care and support, and we are seeking an experienced RN to join our ranks.

We require a registered nurse with current licensure in the state and a minimum of two years of experience in hospice or palliative care nursing. Prior management experience is not necessary, but the ability to supervise hospice aides and coordinate patient care is essential. In return, we offer a competitive salary range of $95,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience, plus comprehensive benefits and opportunities for professional growth and development.

The Key Responsibilities of this role include:
  1. Patient Care: Complete initial, comprehensive, and ongoing assessments of patients and families to determine hospice needs; provide physical assessments and histories of current and previous illnesses; utilize all elements of the nursing process to provide professional care.
  2. Communication: Maintain accurate and relevant clinical notes regarding patient conditions and care given; record pain/symptom management changes/outcomes; communicate with physicians and community health professionals to coordinate care plans.
  3. Additional Duties: Participate in on-call duties, ensure equipment and necessary items are available, and assume responsibility for personal growth and development through continuing education and in-service classes.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrate excellent observation, problem-solving, verbal, and written communication skills, as well as nursing skills per competency checklist.
  • Show ability to organize and prioritize workload independently and work with minimal supervision.
  • Able to lift, position, and transfer patients, supplies, and equipment; prolonged walking or standing may be required.
