Key Responsibilities

  • Lead idea generation for innovative design/process solutions to existing operational problems
  • Create documentation to share innovative design/process solutions, process maps, design standards, etc.
  • Generate structured plans to turn innovative design/process solutions from ideas to assessment, pilot, and expansion
  • Own and deliver against plans, providing network reporting, financial approval, and leadership approval for all stages of program progression
  • Act as SME expert in area of ownership, providing expertise to other Engineering teams, alongside providing challenge for suppliers and partners
  • Build large-scale business proposals based on innovation designs for WW Ops Engineering, often with ambiguity; collaborate with WHS, Planning, Launch, Procurement, Finance, HR, external partners, and product teams to ensure project completion (on time and within budget)
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by following through with requests and ensuring needs are met as accurately and immediately as possible
  • Own internal process innovations across the Engineering Org, including owning road-mapping and planning for given area of responsibility and ensuring roadmap is delivered

Requirements

  • 5+ years of directly managing and responsible for multiple large projects experience
  • Experience and strong technical background in relevant fields of automated or non-automated material handling equipment
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, mechanical, operations, supply chain, business administration, or equivalent STEM field
  • 5+ years experience with Lean six sigma, and logistical experience
  • 5+ years engineering experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in engineering, mechanical, operations, supply chain, business administration, or equivalent STEM field
  • Experience in Lean Management, Six Sigma, and other operations engineer tools

The base pay for this position ranges from $107,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $177,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
