About the Role

O'Neal Industries Inc. is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at our Evansville, IN facility. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance and repairs on production equipment and systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on mechanical and electrical systems, including troubleshooting and diagnosing equipment problems.
  • Evaluate and recommend equipment improvements to enhance efficiency, capability, and yield.
  • Prepare technical reports to document preventative maintenance issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless equipment operation and minimize downtime.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in mechanical and electrical systems maintenance.
Requirements
  • General knowledge of basic trouble-shooting skills with ability to assist with repairs and diagnostics of advanced processing equipment, CNC, material handling system, press brakes, lifting devices, and sawing equipment, etc.
  • Maintenance experience with mechanical systems and/or electrical systems, typically demonstrated by:
    • Work experience in the above referenced systems in a manufacturing or industrial environment, or
    • Completion of an electrical or mechanical repair training program, or
    • Acceptable combination of training and experience
  • Ability to perform maintenance and repair tasks on material handling and processing equipment, including:
    • Calculate, lay-out and draw; balance and align equipment
    • Perform rigging activities, safety-related functions, and other miscellaneous maintenance functions
    • Ability to utilize or fabricate parts needed from cold rolled steel, stainless steel, steel plate, structural steel members, other metals, plastics, fittings, valves, and all types of mechanical parts
    • Maintain electrical equipment to meet regulatory codes
    • Programming of Variable Frequency Drives
    • Troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controllers
    • Testing electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes
  • Ability to work 1st Shift and be available for overtime as needed.
