Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the procurement of necessary tools and materials, ensuring timely delivery to meet project schedules.
  • Guide and manage personnel and subcontractors in executing work plans, interpreting project specifications, and coordinating various construction phases to minimize delays.
  • Collaborate with supervisory staff and subcontractors to address workforce challenges and resolve issues.
  • Work closely with engineering teams and suppliers to troubleshoot construction challenges and enhance methods specific to concrete work.
  • Monitor ongoing work to verify compliance with specifications and adherence to project timelines.
  • Supervise maintenance activities for existing concrete installations.
  • Ensure quality control for all aspects of concrete finishes, edges, and surfaces.
  • Oversee subgrade preparation, concrete mixing, and form setting activities.
  • Perform basic forming tasks and understand all components of the forming system.
  • Ensure proper techniques for patching and finishing walls are utilized.
  • Manage site activities related to concrete, including paving, sidewalks, curbs, footings, foundations, and retaining walls.
  • Utilize advanced concrete materials, fasteners, and equipment effectively.
  • Demonstrate the ability to layout footings, piers, walls, stairs, and sidewalks accurately.
  • Ensure all crew members use personal protective equipment appropriately.

Supervisory Duties:

The Concrete Construction Supervisor is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of concrete operations. This role includes direct supervision of non-supervisory staff, conducting evaluations, training, assigning tasks, and addressing performance issues.

Required Competencies:

  • Analytical Skills: Ability to synthesize complex information and design effective workflows.
  • Project Management: Develop and manage project plans, ensuring timely completion within budget.
  • Quality Assurance: Maintain high standards of accuracy and thoroughness in all work.

  • Dependability: Consistently fulfill work responsibilities and commitments.

Qualifications:

  • Valid driver's license
  • 30 Hour OSHA certification
  • Rough terrain forklift certification
  • Aerial lift certification
  • First Aid and CPR certification

Physical Requirements: The role requires standing, reaching, climbing, and the ability to lift and move weights ranging from 25 to 100 pounds. Vision capabilities include close, distance, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
