Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Regulatory Compliance Specialist to join our team at PeaceHealth. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with state hospital licensing and accreditation standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accreditation and Regulatory Program Management: Develop and implement accreditation and regulatory programs to ensure compliance with state hospital licensing and accreditation standards.
  • Compliance Gap Identification: Identify gaps in compliance with state hospital licensing and accreditation standards and communicate high-risk compliance issues to leadership.
  • Regulatory Education and Training: Develop and implement regulatory education and training programs for local leaders and staff to ensure awareness of rules and regulations.
  • Regulatory Coordination: Work with other disciplines and regulatory departments to coordinate compliance efforts across the PeaceHealth system.
  • Survey Readiness and Support: Lead regulatory survey readiness program planning and provide on-site accreditation survey support to ensure compliance with accreditation and regulatory standards.
  • Corrective Action Planning: Develop and implement corrective action plans to address identified compliance issues and ensure executive support and process owners' engagement in post-survey needs.
  • Regulatory Reporting and Analysis: Maintain required reports and summaries of noncompliant issues and survey activity in appropriate databases and provide regulatory reports to facilities as scheduled.
Requirements
  • Education: Associate Degree in a healthcare-related field or equivalent knowledge and skills obtained through a combination of education, training, and experiences.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare discipline, regulatory, patient care, quality, or risk.
  • Credentials: Preferred Registered Nurse.
  • Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, excellent organizational skills, excellent interpersonal skills, ability to make independent judgment and pay close attention to details, ability to maintain confidentiality of highly sensitive information, ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects, and proven skills in team facilitation, project implementation, effective data interpretation, and customer relations.
Working Conditions

This role will predominantly operate in an office environment with some time spent on site in a medical/hospital setting. The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, and extensive reading.
