Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Director of Engineering, Strategy Applications to lead a team of high-performing technical teams responsible for a critical component of our technology platform. Your teams will operationalize research outputs and power our trading engine. You will develop abstractions that encapsulate core business logic for the entire firm, enabling consumption across various strategy types. You will also develop and own systems that execute, reconcile, and bookkeep our trading operations daily.

Key Responsibilities
  • Effectively manage a team of frontline managers and senior individual contributors
  • Attract, hire, and retain top engineering talent across your teams
  • Develop ambitious yet achievable goals for your team, and reliably deliver results
  • Work closely with stakeholder teams to develop a roadmap and future vision for your domain
  • Mentor and grow managers and individual contributors to continuously up-level your team
  • Capture business logic to ensure reliable delivery of our core trading products
  • Scale and operationalize our execution and production trading systems
  • Collaborate with our operations team to oversee systems and capture data for compliance
Requirements
  • Computer Science Degree, or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated history of management of large engineering teams (15+ engineers)
  • 10+ years software engineering experience and 3+ years people management experience
  • Experience leading and developing both managers and individual contributors
  • Proven ability to hire and manage exceptional engineers and technical managers
  • Experience operating critical production systems with high-uptime requirements
  • Knowledge of best practices for robust, high-availability design
  • Ability to understand key details to provide provably correct systems
What We Offer

The base salary range for this position is $200,000 to $300,000 in the location(s) of this posting. Individual salaries are determined through a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography. Our benefits package includes medical, dental, and vision coverage, life and AD&D insurance, 20 days of paid time off, 9 sick days, and a 401(k) plan with a company match.
