Position Overview

The Kentucky Personnel Cabinet is seeking a Licensed Plumbing Supervisor to oversee plumbing operations within a correctional facility. This role involves both technical plumbing expertise and supervisory responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and assist inmates in the daily maintenance, repair, and installation of plumbing systems while ensuring a secure working environment.
  • Modify and maintain existing plumbing infrastructures and plan necessary installations to meet operational needs.
  • Responsible for the inspection and procurement of all materials and tools required for plumbing tasks.
  • Conduct daily inventories of tools, manage work orders, and prepare documentation for inmate work hours.
  • Order necessary parts and materials for plumbing repairs and installations.
  • Maintain an institutional service vehicle for facility-related plumbing tasks.
  • Prepare reports and participate in training sessions to enhance institutional operations.
Qualifications

Education: Must meet specific educational requirements as outlined in special requirements.

Experience: No prior experience is necessary; however, a valid Master Plumber license is required.

Licensure: Must hold and maintain a Master Plumber license from the appropriate regulatory body.

Working Conditions

This position primarily involves indoor work within a correctional facility. A probationary period may apply.
