Job Summary:

As a Registered Nurse on the Mother Baby Unit at Huntington Hospital Inc, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to a positive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate patient care across the healthcare continuum, ensuring seamless transitions and optimal outcomes.
• Utilize critical thinking and nursing process to supervise patient care, discharge planning, and resource identification.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to advocate for patients and coordinate care delivery.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) considered with BSN program enrollment and completion within 2 years.
• Minimum 1 year of acute care experience; 2 years preferred, with Couplet Care and Baby Friendly experience a plus.
• Basic computer skills and experience with computerized documentation systems required.

Licenses/Certifications:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by California Board of Registered Nursing (BRN)
• Basic Life Support Provider (BLS) certification from American Heart Association
• Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) certification from American Academy of Pediatrics within 90 days of hire

Work Environment:

Nights, 12-hour shifts, with overtime-based compensation.
