Dental Assistant II

Sea Mar Community Health Centers is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant II to join our team at our Bellevue Dental Clinic.
Job Summary:The Dental Assistant II will provide chair-side assistance to dental providers, utilizing four-handed dentistry techniques to ensure high-quality patient care. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:- Provide chair-side assistance to dental providers, including preparing patients for procedures, taking vital signs, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
- Assist patients with treatment plans, cost estimates, and sequencing of treatments.
- Complete insurance pre-authorizations, verify patient eligibility, and benefits as directed by dental providers.
- Assist in training new employees and dental trainees, as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Dental Assistant III, Dentist, Dental Supervisor, or Regional Dental Manager.
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
- Completion of a formal Dental Assistant program at a college, technical institute, or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 6 months of work experience in a dental assistant position required.
- Registration with the Washington State Department of Health required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR certification required within 90 days of hire date.
- TB testing annually and current Washington State Dental Registration required.
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required.
