Position Overview:

We are in search of a proactive and results-oriented Vice President of Strategic Partnerships to spearhead the formulation and implementation of our strategic growth and business development initiatives in alignment with our expansion strategy. This leadership position is vital for propelling our strategic growth goals and enhancing our service offerings and market presence. The ideal candidate will possess a proven history of successfully scaling organizations through targeted business development efforts and a robust understanding of our operational markets to facilitate sustainable and responsible growth. The Vice President will be accountable for meeting the company's annual revenue targets, including both organizational and departmental objectives. This role will collaborate closely with our Senior Leadership Team and report directly to the CEO.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate, lead, and execute comprehensive business development strategies to meet company growth targets.
  • Build and nurture a high-performing business development team.
  • Accountable for achieving annual revenue targets for both the company and department.
  • Leverage personal networks to secure significant new business opportunities.
  • Identify, assess, and secure new markets and partnerships in collaboration with the Senior Leadership Team.
  • Engage with technical departments to pinpoint and pursue new client opportunities.
  • Oversee annual business development planning across all departments and ensure execution aligns with established revenue goals.
  • Facilitate business development processes, ensuring cross-company collaboration and alignment.
  • Develop and manage the organizational structure to achieve business development objectives.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with potential clients, partners, and industry stakeholders.
  • Monitor and analyze industry trends, market conditions, and competitive landscapes to inform strategic decisions; provide regular updates to market leaders and key personnel.
  • Design effective metrics to evaluate business development performance; analyze historical performance and take necessary actions to enhance results.
  • Advise the Senior Leadership Team on strategies to enhance market share and profitability.
  • Promote a business development culture and institutionalize business development skills through training initiatives.
  • Manage the firm's client experience and satisfaction program.
  • Evaluate the performance of all staff involved in business development; recommend and lead training initiatives to ensure staff possess the necessary skills to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Mentor and coach the business development team to reach their goals.
  • Maintain a robust business network, including participation in industry organizations; represent the firm at conferences and engage with other firms for potential business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams on materials, social media content, articles, and website updates to support business development efforts.
  • Estimated travel requirements: 50%.

Salary:

$140,000 - $160,000 base salary, plus performance-based bonuses, totaling $170,000 - $190,000. Additional profit-sharing bonuses may also be available.

Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 15+ years of experience in business development with a successful track record of achieving organizational goals; experience in relevant professional consulting services is highly desirable.
  • Proven ability to grow an organization and meet business development targets.
  • Strong leadership capabilities to inspire and motivate teams.
