Finance Manager Job Description

Ed Morse Automotive Group is seeking a highly skilled Finance Manager to accelerate our team's success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional customer service by explaining aftermarket products and extended Service Contracts, ensuring customers purchase the right products for their needs.
  • Process finance deals efficiently, submitting paperwork to obtain approvals from finance sources in a timely manner.
  • Maintain strong relationships with multiple finance sources, including manufacturers, to establish a reputable and trustworthy image.
  • Prepare and mail deal packages with complete documentation to lenders, adhering to established processes.
  • Audit team deals post-sale to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Ensure expeditious funding of all contracts, structuring deals for maximum profitability and collectability.
  • Stay up-to-date with title laws and registration processes, maintaining proficiency and certifications as required.
  • Collaborate with Sales Desk, submitting deals to lenders for approval, making credit decisions, and effectively closing deals.
  • Verify insurance and obtain payoffs on trades with open lines, processing federal, state, and dealer paperwork related to vehicle transactions.
  • Review paperwork for correct residual, commission, buy rate, title, lien information, taxes, and DMV paperwork before forwarding to the business office.
  • Assist retail salespersons in collecting down payments and all monies associated with transactions.
  • Support the financial services department in all areas, as needed.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with guests, ensuring high customer satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Finance Manager in the automotive industry.
  • Special Finance and subprime lending experience desirable.
  • Self-starter with a sense of urgency to deliver deals.
  • A high degree of ownership and accountability for achieving results.
  • Ability to organize, multi-task, and prioritize to optimize daily opportunities and complete necessary processes and paperwork.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's/bachelor's degree candidates preferred.
  • Must successfully complete a background and drug screening.
