Patient Care Nurse

Job Summary:
The Patient Care Registered Nurse provides high-quality, patient-centered care to patients in the acute care setting. This role requires a strong commitment to quality and safety, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct, professional nursing care to patients in the acute care setting.
- Develop and implement individualized patient care plans based on patient needs.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient medical records.
- Counsel and educate patients and their families on treatment plans and health education.
- Administer medications safely and effectively.
- Provide wound care and dressing changes as needed.
- Read and interpret patient information to make informed treatment decisions.
- Consult with physicians to determine best treatment options.
- Perform nursing interventions to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Observe and record patient behavior and response to nursing interventions.
- Demonstrate quality, safe, and effective patient care.
- Delegate tasks to unlicensed assistive staff and licensed practical nurses as needed.
- Demonstrate core values of compassion, accountability, respect, teamwork, and integrity.
- Participate in quality and performance improvement initiatives.
- Provide timely and accurate documentation of patient care.
Requirements:
- Education: Nursing Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
- Credential(s): Registered Nurse (RN) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Experience: Required: 0-1 year of experience in a relevant specialty. Preferred: 1-2 years of experience in a relevant specialty.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
- Credential(s): Certification related to the position.
- Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a relevant specialty.
