The Regent Hotel:

We are seeking an experienced and confident Bar Manager with a proven track record of managing bars and staff to a high standard. As a Bar Manager, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing a team of bar staff, and dealing with guest complaints or workplace issues. You will also be responsible for relating and managing procedures at the front-end delivery into coordinated back-of-house processes to ensure a smoother guest experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of bar staff to provide exceptional customer service
  • Deal with guest complaints or workplace issues
  • Relate and manage procedures at the front-end delivery into coordinated back-of-house processes
  • Assist in the development and delivery of staff training, development, and induction processes
  • Utilize EPOS systems in bars
  • Manage difficult customers in an appropriate manner
  • Understand cellar management and health and safety issues relating to public bar spaces and events & licensing laws
  • Manage staff rotas and maintain good working relationships with fellow staff and members/customers
  • Manage and motivate staff
  • Maintain a good sense of humour in potentially stressful situations

Requirements:

  • At least two years of experience managing staff (including part-time staff) in a customer-focussed bars role
  • Personal License Holder preferred
  • Flexibility in terms of hours worked/shift patterns
