We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our team as an Early Childhood Education Specialist. This is a full-time, non-tenure track position that will play a critical role in developing and delivering high-quality educational programs and resources for young children and their caregivers.
Key Responsibilities- Program Development and Delivery: Design, develop, and deliver innovative educational programs and resources that meet the needs of young children and their caregivers.
- Community Engagement: Engage with parents, teachers, early childhood professionals, and caregivers in the assigned geographic area to determine needs and provide access to educational opportunities.
- Collaboration and Partnerships: Work with a multi-disciplinary team of extension professionals and other partners to translate and teach the latest research-based information.
- Grant Writing and Fundraising: Secure grants, program fees, and partnerships to leverage the extension educational program's resource base and reach.
- Professional Development: Participate in professional development to enhance and maintain professional expertise in both early childhood and extension pedagogy.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in child development, human development, early childhood education, or a closely related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Experience: Demonstrated ability to communicate information to various audiences and successful experience teaching in a formal or non-formal education setting.
- Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work effectively in a team environment, and strong leadership skills.
