Job Title: Teacher Aide

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teacher Aide to join our team at Educare of Lincoln. As a Teacher Aide, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily education program for young children, working cooperatively with the Teacher and Associate Teacher to plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning and implementing daily education programs for children aged 0-5.
  • Work under the supervision of the Teacher to ensure the education program meets individual child needs and program standards.
  • Take responsibility for classroom management in the absence of the Teacher and Associate Teacher.
  • Assist with food preparation and delivery to classrooms, maintaining kitchen sanitation requirements.
  • Contribute to the development of individualized educational plans for children.
  • Provide opportunities for children to develop positive self-images and experience success.
  • Participate in reflective supervision and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to obtain Child Development Associate (CDA) certification within two years of employment.
  • One year of work experience in a similar position preferred.
  • Willingness to participate in food handlers training and pass a background check.

Essential Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of early childhood education principles and best practices.
  • Ability to work within an interdisciplinary team and establish supportive relationships with staff and families.
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to compliance standards.

Working Conditions:

The Teacher Aide will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, interacting with children, staff, and families from diverse backgrounds. The position requires the ability to lift, carry, and move equipment and supplies, as well as physically interact with children.
