We are seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at USG Corporation. As a key member of our Engineering department, you will be responsible for performing troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance activities to ensure the efficient operation of our industrial equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on industrial equipment, including motors, pneumatic tools, hydraulic systems, conveyor systems, and production machines.
- Conduct troubleshooting and diagnostic activities to identify and resolve equipment malfunctions.
- Work collaboratively with the plant team to achieve safety and quality goals.
- Stay up-to-date with plant safety and continuous improvement initiatives as required by supervision.
- Adapt to scheduling requirements, including shiftwork, overtime, and weekend assignments as needed.
- Ability to perform assigned repair and servicing tasks with a high level of accuracy and efficiency.
- Willingness to work the assigned schedule and adapt to changing priorities.
- Consistent demonstration of an understanding of all plant and departmental safety rules, standards, and programs.
- Meet the essential physical requirements of the position, including the ability to negotiate steps and ladders.
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance and be able to understand verbal and written instructions from plant supervision.
- Responsible for maintaining a set of personal tools as specified in the operator rate program.
