About the Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Primary Care Physician Assistant to join our team at Upstate Medical University.
Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will assist a physician in all aspects of patient care, including examining patients, compiling medical data, administering or ordering diagnostic tests, and interpreting test results. They will also perform therapeutic duties such as injections, wound care, immunizations, and managing infection. Additionally, they may make diagnoses, dispense medication, and assist the physician in procedures.
Requirements
- NYS licensed/registered NP or PA required (NYS NP specialty area of certification must be consistent with practice)
- Must have NPI number and be Medicare Enrolled with Medicare Identification Number (or PTAN) OR be eligible for Medicare Enrollment within 6 months of hire
- Initial certification must be present or obtained within 6 months of hire
- Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross is required
Preferred Qualifications
Work Days: Various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Salary Information
The estimated salary for this position is $92,000 - $147,004 per year, based on full-time hours and experience.
