The Student Engagement Representative serves as a vital link between the college and its prospective and current students, as well as the surrounding community. Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for inquiries from prospective students and community members.
  • Enhance customer service skills by providing support and assistance to students and the public.
  • Identify and address the needs of students and the community, offering professional guidance to foster student success.
  • Build and maintain relationships with both new and returning students, encouraging their academic and personal growth.
  • Exhibit a strong professional work ethic while serving as an ambassador for the college.
  • Assist in monitoring and providing support at on-campus information desks for students, faculty, and community members.
  • Contribute to the recruitment and retention efforts of prospective students through various outreach activities.
  • Participate in college events such as orientations, campus tours, community outreach, and other promotional activities.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of at least 6 credit hours at Cuyahoga Community College.
  • Maintain a minimum GPA as required by the college.
  • Consistently enroll in at least 6 credit hours each semester.
  • Demonstrate satisfactory academic progress.
  • Adhere to the college's confidentiality policy.
  • Successfully pass background and drug screening processes.
  • Possess a flexible schedule, including availability for evenings and weekends.
  • Exhibit exceptional customer service, reliability, leadership capabilities, and strong communication skills.
  • Provide support to students during peak periods.
  • Assist students with navigating My Tri-C Space.
  • Conduct campus tours for prospective students.
  • Support on-campus and off-campus events such as open houses, new student orientations, college fairs, and high school visits.
  • Engage in leadership programs and attend workshops focused on student success.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
