Cardiovascular Imaging Specialist

Sharp HealthCare is seeking a highly skilled Cardiovascular Imaging Specialist to join our team in the Cardiac Cath Lab. As a Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist, you will play a crucial role in performing all aspects of physiological monitoring, recording, and calculations for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
About the RoleThis position requires a strong foundation in radiographic procedures and their quality control, as well as excellent communication skills to interact with patients and healthcare professionals. You will assist physicians as a scrub technician during cardiac catheterization procedures and be responsible for managing department dosimetry programs and dose tracking.
Key Responsibilities- Perform radiographic procedures and ensure high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
- Assist physicians during cardiac catheterization procedures, maintaining sterile techniques and proper imaging protocols.
- Manage department dosimetry programs, ensuring compliance with ALARA principles.
- Provide pre- and post-procedure education to patients, addressing their concerns and needs.
- Maintain accurate records of supplies used in each procedure, participating in daily reconciliation processes.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience as a Cardiovascular Radiologic Tech or CV Tech.
- H.S. Diploma or Equivalent; Satisfactory completion of formal training program in an accredited school.
- AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional certification.
- Radiologic Technologist Fluoroscopy Permit and Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) certifications.
- PREFERRED: Associate's Degree in a related field, ACLS Certification, Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS), ARRT Certificate, and Basic Arrhythmia Certification.

Salary InformationThe estimated salary range for this position is $49,377 - $78,048 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. The actual pay rate will be determined based on various factors, including years of experience, unique skills, and alignment with similar internal candidates.
